Yesterday I had the honor of attending Slutwalk Denver 2013.  It's an event that started after a police officer in Toronto made a comment that a rape victim wouldn't have been raped if she hadn't been dressing like a slut.  As you might imagine there was a lot of reaction to this statement.  Wearing sexy attire is NOT an invitation to touch.  You know what causes rape?  Rapists.  No victim blaming, no "you should have worn something else".  More educating perpetrators about what is right and what isn't.  Let's do our part to change rape culture even as we partake in the sexy side of life.
